Studio on the Square is honored to be this years recipient of the 2009 Pittsfield Main Street Award for for Excellence in Downtown Revitalization! At a banquet on Thursday evening April 15th, the award was presented to Lori Schweighardt, Studio Manager.
The 2009 Design Award for Facade Rehabilitation was presented to Studio on the Square for their new facade and, in particular, for the outstanding mural honoring all military veterans. Studio on the Square is a business that has "put a new face" on a building in our downtown district.
The mural was unveiled in October 2009 honoring active duty and veterans from all branches of the military. One of the unique features of the mural is the availability for all veterans to sign with their names, branch, and dates of service.
As an ongoing support of our military, Studio on the Square offers free portrait sittings for all active duty military personnel.
Everyone is welcome to stop by and view the mural, sign for the military in their lives, and enjoy a cup of coffee at the Studio!
